Internships may be offered in any field ,from software development to marketing and may not only be an “on campus ” one where you get a chance to work at the company’s site for that particular tenure ,it can also be an off campus one ,just like work from home type .For example it may be kind of a campus ambassador program(like I worked for PLAYCEZ company) or a developer internship where you can earn accolades, experience ar even stipend right there working from home.
There are many number of ways to actually get into one such companies which offer internships.One way is to get hold of the right person of your dream company or company which you are zealous for working as an intern, and you ping the company’s recruiting head mostly the HR, your resume .Through a an interview, meeting all their company’s requirements the canonical person may recruit you as an intern. I guess this is kind of difficult where you won’t get the right person’s e-mail id that easily or you would not get a reply when you ping him with the right content. This needs a good network actually for someone to recommend you.
Other than this, the simplest of simplest one is that there are many sites (companies for students) which send these offers as feeds to their registered users who are mostly students.The most important thing to note is that it is done for free by many of the organisations.They mainly act as an interface between the companies and the students coupling the right company to the right student.
